WHAT IS GLUTAMINE?
BULK POWDERS™ Glutamine, part of our Pure Series™ range, is the purest Glutamine powder available, and at a price that puts other brands to shame.
Glutamine is one of the most popular products in the Pure Series™ range. Its popularity stems from the fact that Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid found in muscle tissue. Glutamine is a conditionally essential amino acid; this means that during specific periods (such as exercising) the body uses more Glutamine that is being synthesised.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’m bodybuilding: How can glutamine help me?
Glutamine can be a very effective supplement for bodybuilders. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid within muscle tissue, however when you train, glutamine levels can be significantly reduced as muscle tissue breaks down – even more so with the bodybuilding style of training. Supplementing with Glutamine (in particular post-workout) can allow you to restore the depleted Glutamine levels.
What is in glutamine powder and why does the body need it?
Glutamine powder is 100% L Glutamine, which is a conditionally essential amino acid. This means at certain times, this amino acid is needed from the diet, as the body cannot synthesis enough to replenish levels. One of these occasions is after you work out – training causes muscle glutamine levels to deplete to a point where the amino acid becomes conditionally essential. Consuming L Glutamine Powder will provide your body with a rich source of Glutamine that will help to restore muscle glutamine levels.
Do I take glutamine before or after workouts?
Glutamine is best consumed post-workout to help restore depleted muscle glutamine levels.
What’s the connection between glutamine and amino acids?
Glutamine is a conditionally essential amino acid, this means that during certain periods (such as post-workout) it becomes essential to be consumed in the diet, as the body cannot synthesise enough to meet this deficiency.
Will I have to adjust my diet plan to take this product?
No, Glutamine is a free form amino acid, therefore does not have a specific calorific value. Simply add it to your post-workout shake, or throughout the day to support recovery.

Berry Satisfied
First time buying this product. From the flavour choices, I opted for Mixed Berries. Was a little sceptical about the flavour choice as i generally don’t like Mixed Berry flavoured food products.
Upon opening the packet, i instantly knew i’d made a decent choice. Smells and tastes exactly like Pre-Workout, minus the buzz (obviously). Highly recommended. I bought this in conjunction with BulkPowders’ Egg White Powder (of which i’ll review seperately). These 2 products post-workout with a scoop of Chocolate Whey Powder goes down a treat.

Does the job
I bought this for recovery reasons, after taking a break from the gym for a while, I took this after my first workout back. I expected to be in agony and surprisingly the pain wasn’t as bad as I expected. Maybe it was the glutamine or maybe it was my eating that day either way I added the glutamine and the recovery was much better.
